Position Description

The Lattice Field Theory (LFT) group at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan invites applications to two postdoc positions in the group of Prof. C.-J. David Lin, commencing Autumn 2026. These positions are for two years, with the possibility of extension into the third year based upon performance and funding availability. One of these positions is funded through a special grant on parton physics, while the other is on a special grant on tensor networks and quantum computing for high-energy physics. Candidates interested in these and related topics are particularly welcome to apply. Successful candidates are expected to contribute to our research programmes on relevant subjects, and are also encouraged to develop their own projects.

The group of C.-J. David Lin typically hosts 3 postdocs, and 3 to 4 postgraduate students. We have long-term collaborations with LFT colleagues in Europe, Korea, Japan, UK and the US. The group also collaborates with Taiwan-based colleagues in condensed matter theory, HEP experiments and LFT. International travel support will be available, normally at NT$ 180,000 to 210,000 (~ US$ 6,000 to 7,000) per year for each position.

Review of applications will commence on the 10th of December 2025, and full considerations will be given to those received before this date. Application package should include CV, publication list and statement of research. Three reference letters are also required. Candidates and referees can submit materials through the AJO website (preferred)
