Position Description
As part of the establishment of the new Institute for Quantum and Information Sciences, Syracuse University invites applications for multiple postdoctoral positions in the research groups of professors Alexander Maloney, Scott Collier, and Aron Wall to start in September of 2026. The primary areas of interest include holography, conformal field theory, quantum gravity, and quantum information theory. However, all areas of high energy physics and gravity will be considered. The successful applicant will benefit from a growing theoretical physics group, which includes the present faculty at Syracuse University (Simon Catterall, Scott Collier, Jay Hubisz, Jack Laiho, Alexander Maloney, Jason Pollack, Scott Watson) as well as additional faculty to arrive in fall 2026 (including Aron Wall).
