Position Description

The Texas A&M high energy theory group in the George P. and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Institute for Fundamental Physics and Astronomy invites applications for postdoctoral positions with anticipated start dates of September 1, 2026. The successful candidates will work in the areas of quantum gravity, AdS/CFT, conformal field theory, supersymmetric field theory, supergravity, or string theory. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with Texas A&M faculty members Katrin Becker, Monica Jinwoo Kang, Chris Pope, and Ergin Sezgin.  

The initial appointments are for two years, with the possibility of extension for one additional year subject to satisfactory performance, availability of funding, and mutual agreement. Requirements for the positions include an earned PhD in physics or related field. The selected candidates must provide official proof of completed PhD or equivalent degree requirements four weeks prior to the start date.
