Position Description

The Duke Quantum Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on ion trap quantum computer and quantum network projects, supporting/advancing research in quantum information science. The position involves designing, executing, and analyzing experiments that explore atomic-photonic interactions and advanced quantum gate operations with trapped atomic ions. The successful candidate will also develop and implement computational methods to interpret complex data and contribute to the preparation of grant proposals, progress reports, and peer-reviewed publications.

In addition to your research responsibilities, you will actively engage in lab meetings, journal clubs, and departmental seminars, and will have opportunities to mentor undergraduate and graduate students, support new lab members, and collaborate with colleagues across the Duke research community.

Required Qualifications at this Level Education/Training: PhD in Physics, Electrical/Computer Engineering/Quantum Engineering or equivalent
