Position Description
The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Professor to teach the course “Marketing Technology” (MarTech) in Fuqua’s Daytime MBA program in the fall of 2026. This course covers the application of technology to marketing management and decision making. There are two main goals of this course: one is associated with the suppliers who comprise this ecosystem and the other is associated with the firms who use it. On the suppler-side, students will become familiar with the various MarTech ecosystems, how various partners in these industries interact, how they create value and gain an awareness of some of the firms and nomenclature in these industries. This should enable students to spot and capitalize upon value creation opportunities in this space. On the Enterprise-side, students will gain familiarity with digital marketing tools and how they impact customer demand. Most every medium-to-large enterprise now integrates MarTech into their day-to-day marketing. Accordingly, students will become better able to create marketing strategies and tactics for firms. Candidates should have experience in digital technology and marketing. They should hold an advanced degree and/or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
