Position Description

Occupational Summary The Duke Quantum Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to develop a research program in ML / AI at the speed of wireless in Dr. Robert Calderbank’s research group. The successful candidate will conduct numerical simulations, develop and implement computational methods to interpret complex data, and contribute to the preparation of grant proposals, progress reports, and peer-reviewed publications. In addition to the research responsibilities, the Postdoctoral Researcher will actively engage in laboratory meetings, journal clubs, and departmental seminars; s/he will have opportunities to mentor undergraduate and graduate students, support new lab members, and collaborate with colleagues across the Duke research community; s/he will disseminate research results and data in peer-reviewed publications as well as presentations at international conferences.

Required Qualifications at this Level Education/Training PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering; Four (4) years training in wireless communication / remote sensing; knowledge of Zak-OTFS modulation preferred. Experience Experience with OFDM modulation required. Skills Programming skills in MATLAB and or Python required, experience with wireless testbeds desirable, some familiarity with GPU programming desirable (to support collaboration with NVIDIA). ________________________________________
