Position Description
Occupational Summary The Duke Quantum Center (DQC) invites applicants for a postdoctoral associate position that focuses on quantum education, public engagement, and science communication. This position will work on designing and deploying creative informal education resources aimed at increasing quantum awareness among learners of all ages. The position will primarily focus on developing play-based learning resources and interdisciplinary multimedia projects, with some aspects overlapping with formal STEM education and policy. In addition to project responsibilities, the position will attend group and collaboration meetings, present at conferences, contribute to papers and reports, and support both online engagements and in-person educational activities. Required Qualifications at this Level Education/Training PhD in physics, engineering, or related field. Experience N/A Skills Experience creating/publishing/producing written, audio, or illustrative works that present technical topics to non-experts without the use of generative AI. Experience with software such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, and DaVinci Resolve.
