Position Description

The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Professor to teach the course “Climate, Sustainability, and Corporate Governance” in Fuqua’s Daytime program in the fall of 2026.

Global challenges such as urbanization, food security, water crises, inequality, natural resource degradation, and climate change increasingly present material risks to corporations. Yet these same trends can create profitable opportunities for companies if innovation is harnessed to create products and business models that provide solutions for growing global markets. As these challenges grow, companies are increasingly integrating sustainability as a business imperative and a key to competitive advantage. In this course, students will examine how businesses assess their risks and opportunities, and how they develop strategies to promote more sustainable practices. Students assess challenges in different firms, industries and geographies, and evaluate how these differences affect corporate strategy and practice.

Candidates should hold an advanced degree and/or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Applicants should submit their materials electronically at https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/31939

The deadline for applications is April 16, 2026.
