The Department of Pharmacology, Physiology & Biophysics (https://www.bumc.bu.edu/ppb/) at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is seeking to recruit a new faculty member at the Research Assistant Professor level (salary range 115,000-130,000 USD) with an innovative structural biology research program. We seek an accomplished research scientist with expertise in cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) for elucidating the structure and function of macromolecular assemblies of biomedical interest at atomic level resolution and management of a cryo-EM facility. The candidate, who will be co-directing the facility, should have a proven track record of innovative research and funding, along with first-author publications demonstrating expertise in the application of cryo-EM methodology, a strong background in machine learning, protein purification and sample preparation, and a strong record of mentorship. BU offers a state-of-the-art cryo-EM core and collaborations with data- science and clinical centers.
