Position Description
Pending final administrative approval, the Marketing Area at the Fuqua School of Business is seeking applicants for one tenure-track appointment for the 2027-2028 academic year at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Applicants should have a doctoral degree and a track record of excellence in teaching and research. Qualifications require a capacity to publish highly impactful research, and exceptional teaching potential or demonstrated excellence in MBA and Ph.D. classes. Candidates are expected to focus their research in the quantitative side of the field, and hold a doctoral degree in Marketing, Computer/ Information Sciences, Economics, Statistics, or related disciplines. The Fuqua School of Business is a top-rated, highly innovative, global business school, and Duke University is regarded as one of the nation’s finest. The Marketing group is internationally known for its impact on the field, including their leadership as Editors/Associated Editors of the major marketing journals, their academic writings, their former PhD students, and their interaction with professional marketers. In addition, the working and living environments are outstanding. The Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill metro area is consistently ranked as one of the ten best places to live in the US by many publications and has an extensive set of cultural, academic, and leisure opportunities.
