Position Description:
   

The Center for Global Women's Health Technologies (GWHT) aspires to make cancer diagnosis, prevention, and treatment more accessible and more effective for women worldwide. GWHT, since inception, has catalyzed new research activities and the development and commercialization of several technologies that advance prevention and treatment of cervical and breast cancer. By placing women at the center of healthcare solutions, GWHT leverages technology to create sustainable ecosystems of change.

GWHT is looking for an Associate in Research to work on a new project translating a novel therapeutic agent into clinical use. The key objective for this role is to perform FDA investigational new drug (IND) enabling studies, including but not limited to small and large animal experiments, delivery optimization, and drug release assay development. This role will also work on other laboratory/administrative tasks as assigned. Competitive candidates will have experience working with small and large animals, working in a BSL-2 environment, proficiency in basic wet lab skills including aseptic technique for cell culture, good communication skills (both written and oral), and be highly organized. Please expect that up to 20% of your job will be dedicated to attending meetings and preparing material for those meetings.

Required qualifications: B.S. degree in biomedical engineering or related fields plus 2 years post-graduation experience as a laboratory technician, research technician, or equivalent.
