Sessional Lecturer Positions – September 2025 to April 2026 The University of British Columbia (Vancouver) invites applications from outstanding individuals to teach courses within the Department of Computer Science, with potential for opportunities in some or all of CPSC_V 210 (Software Construction), CPSC_V 302 (Numerical Computation for Algebraic Problems), CPSC_V 304 (Introduction to Relational Databases), CPSC_V 310 (Introduction to Software Engineering), CPSC_V 314 (Computer Graphics), CPSC_V 317 (Introduction to Computer Networking), CPSC_V 319 (Software Engineering Project), CPSC_V 320 (Intermediate Algorithm Design and Analysis), CPSC_V 340 (Machine Learning and Data Mining), CPSC_V 416 (Distributed Systems), CPSC_V 425 (Computer Vision), CPSC_V 427 (Video Game Programming), CPSC_V 436C (Cloud Computing) and APSC_V 160 (Introduction to Computation in Engineering Design) from September 2025 to April 2026. The Department will consider applicants with previous teaching experience in a post-secondary setting, and we will consider applicants whose abilities cover a broad range of topics and levels. A Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related areas is required, with a preference to applicants who possess a Ph.D. We welcome applications from computer scientists who are active in industry.
