The College of Education at Lehigh University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in our Educational Leadership (EDL) program, in the Department of Education and Human Services. 

Duties of the position include: 
● Conducting research and scholarly activity that is related to the leadership, organization, policy, or legal issues in K-12 schools. 
● Teaching graduate-level courses in the educational leadership preparation and doctoral programs. 
● Engaging in professional service at the university, college, program, and discipline levels. 
● Collaborating with local, national, and international educational organizations for the purposes of improving educational processes and policies. 

Applicants must possess a doctorate or be near completion of a doctorate in educational leadership, education policy, or a related field by the effective date of employment. 

Our mission in the educational leadership program is to develop and support effective leaders for high-quality elementary/secondary education with an emphasis on equity and inclusion. Our vision describes effective leaders as individuals working collaboratively as scholar-practitioners who foster the cognitive and affective development of all learners through technological, managerial, and interpersonal skills as well as through agile and creative habits-of-mind. In addition, the educational leadership program offers a number of special activities, research teams, and projects in which faculty and students collaborate, some of which include: the Lehigh School Study Council and the Urban Principals Academy at Lehigh. Our program faculty demonstrate focused research agendas, which include scholarly journal publications and presentations. In addition, EDL faculty have experience in a wide array of K-12 educational organizations. 

The College of Education is strongly committed to enhancing and maintaining strong reciprocal relations with the community in which it is located. The Educational Leadership program, housed in the College of Education offers doctorate and master’s degrees in Educational Leadership as well as state certification programs for superintendents, principals, and supervisors of curriculum. The Program faculty has established strong research and service partnerships at the local, national, and international levels.
