Description Duke Science & Society Professor Lee
Tiedrich is offering a Post Bac Fellowship (title: "Associate in Research") for the Data Governance
Initiative that she is co-launching with Professor Michael Zavlanos of the
Pratt School of Engineering. The position initially would extend through
June 30, 2023, and might be extended in the future, upon mutual written
agreement. Work Performed The work includes (i) researching and writing on topics
pertaining to data governance, with the goal of producing a series of publications,
(ii) helping Professor Tiedrich coordinate the efforts of research assistants
and other faculty involved in the initiative, (iii) planning one or more
convenings and managing multi-stakeholder outreach, scheduling ,and related
matters, (iv) helping manage engagement with existing and prospective funders,
and (v) providing general assistance with the data governance initiative.
Skills Required The candidate should have a strong background and interest
in ethical technology and data as well as strong writing, inter-personal, and
organizational skills.
