INTRODUCTION
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Connecticut invites applications for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Lecturer at the Storrs campus. The successful candidate will primarily contribute to the Department’s teaching program.

The successful candidate will share a deep commitment to effective instruction at the undergraduate level, development of innovative courses and mentoring of students in research, outreach, and professional development. The successful candidate will also be expected to broaden participation among members of underrepresented groups; demonstrate through their teaching, possible research, and/or public engagement the richness of diversity in the learning experience; integrate multicultural experiences into instructional methods and research tools; and provide leadership in developing pedagogical techniques designed to meet the needs of diverse learning styles and intellectual interests.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in computing sciences or a related field.
- Proven record of potential in teaching.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and enhancing inclusion as proven through academic and research programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Expertise in several areas of computer science such as introduction to programming, data structures and algorithms, basic cyber-security, architecture, and system programming
- An outstanding record of teaching and scholarship
- Commitment to effective teaching and use of innovative techniques
- Ability to effectively communicate with students in both large and small audiences
- Ability to contribute through research, teaching, and/or public engagement to the diversity and excellence of the learning experience.
APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a full-time, 9-month, annually renewable non-tenure track position at the rank of Lecturer with the possibility of subsequent annual academic-year reappointment, contingent on positive reviews and program funding, and may lead to a multi-year appointment. Employment is conditional upon the timely completion of an approved I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification Form). Candidates may begin work on January 1, 2023, or August 23, 2023.
