The University of British Columbia (Vancouver), invites applications from outstanding individuals for teaching courses within the Department of Computer Science. The Department seeks multiple Sessional Lecturers to teach individual courses in winter term 1 (September to December, 2023) and/or winter term 2 (January to April 2024).

A variety of opportunities are available in Sep-Dec 2023 and Jan-Apr 2024 depending on final scheduling. Potential courses include APSC 160 and CPSC 100, 103, 107, 121, 203, 210, 213, 221, 304, 310, 313, 314, 317, 319, 320, 322, 330, 340, 404, 411, 416, 417, and 430.(Course descriptions are available at https://vancouver.calendar.ubc.ca/course-descriptions/subject/cpsc.) The Department will consider applicants with previous teaching experience in a post-secondary setting and we will consider applicants whose abilities cover a broad range of topics and levels. A Masters or equivalent in Computer Science or related areas is required, with a preference to applicants who possess a PhD. We welcome applications from computer scientists who are active in industry, and in some cases, it may be possible to arrange evening lecture sections to accommodate work schedules.
