The successful candidate will join a department that has a strong commitment to research and teaching and will be expected to contribute significant scholarship in the area of 20th- and 21st-century Latin American literary and cultural studies. The teaching load is two courses per semester, and will include a wide range of Spanish language, literature, and culture courses for undergraduates. Faculty members in MLL are encouraged to participate in interdisciplinary programs, such as Latin American and Latino Studies, Global Studies, and Film and Documentary Studies, among others.
