faculty members, the Department of Microbiology is fully committed to advancing knowledge

strengths in molecular biology and microbial physiology and growing strengths
in microbial ecology and microbiome science. Many of our
faculty have ties to multi-disciplinary organizations on campus, including the Center for RNA
Biology, the Center for Microbiome Science, the Infectious Disease
Institute, and the Department of
Microbial Infection and Immunity.
