Position Description

Brown University invites applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in electrical and computer engineering at the Assistant Professor level. Preference will be given to candidates with an outstanding record of scholarship and teaching in core areas that enable the development of new technologies for intelligent systems and smart devices, including but not limited to: 1. Integrated circuits, architecture, and hardware for intelligent systems, 2. Embedded systems technology, robotics, internet of things, edge computing, and connected health, 3. Low-power electronics, sensors, and wireless communications. Applicants with either academic or industry experience are encouraged. We seek a faculty member who will contribute to the research and teaching missions of the School of Engineering. We are particularly interested in research motivated by societal needs and scholars who demonstrate commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in electrical and computer engineering. Qualifications Applicants must have a PhD at the time of joining the faculty. Potential start dates include July 1, 2024 or January 1, 2025.
