The Duke University Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical and Materials Science in the Pratt School of Engineering are seeking applicants for multiple Assistant Professor faculty positions in the targeted areas of Computational, Digital, and Robotic Systems for Health. As such, appointments may be with a single department or multiple departments, depending on the circumstances of each individual. All applicants with skills and research interests that fall within the scope of this search will be given full consideration. Early career researchers doing innovative work in all areas of computational modeling, virtual/augmented reality, machine learning, robotics, haptics, real-time imaging, medical autonomy, and internet of medical things (IoMT) and/or ubiquitous sensors explicitly applied to assisting clinical practice are encouraged to apply. We work closely with medical professionals to identify important clinical problems that impact human health and solve them using our technical expertise. We engage motivated and talented students in the classroom, laboratory and clinic, imparting to them the spirit of our mission as we prepare them for future careers as effective, knowledgeable, and ethical leaders in corporate, professional, and academic communities.

· Research statement (no more than 3 pages) that includes a description of past research accomplishments, plans for future research, and description of past experiences demonstrating your commitment to a diverse and inclusive research environment.
· Teaching and mentoring statement (no more than 3 pages) describing teaching philosophy, previous experiences, future plans for teaching, and description of past experiences promoting and supporting diversity, including the fostering of an inclusive learning and mentoring environment for diverse students.
· List of three to five references who will provide letters on behalf of the candidate; note, letters will not be requested until after the first round of application evaluations.
Applicants should have an earned doctorate in biomedical engineering, bioengineering, chemical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field.
