Position Description:
Position Description
The High Energy Physics group at York University invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in the areas of theoretical particle physics, astro-particle physics, and phenomenology. Candidates with interests in dark matter physics are especially encouraged to apply. A separate position focusing on quantum computing and lattice field theory is advertised here.Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in theoretical physics by the start of the appointment and have a record of research excellence. The appointment is for two years, beginning fall 2025, with an extension to a third year upon mutual agreement.
York University is in Toronto, Canada, near the University of Toronto, Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA), Perimeter Institute, Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) and several other leading research institutions. Current HEP theory faculty include professors Nikita Blinov, Matthew Johnson, Randy Lewis, Kim Maltman and Sean Tulin. The Department also features vibrant ATLAS, neutrino physics and astronomy groups.
