The Ohio State University Nuclear Theory Group anticipates an opening for a postdoctoral researcher in low-energy nuclear theory beginning in the Fall of 2017. Current research efforts by Profs. Furnstahl, Jeschonnek, and Perry include work on applications of effective field theory and the renormalization group to nuclear structure and reactions, density functional theory, electron scattering from light nuclei, and uncertainty quantification. There are regular interactions with other Group members working on high-energy nuclear physics (Profs. Heinz and Kovchegov) and opportunities to collaborate with high-energy and condensed matter theory faculty and nuclear experimental faculty.
