|The High Energy Particle Physics Theory effort at Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking applications for one or two staff scientist positions. Applicants must have a strong research program in areas of interest to both the LANL HEP effort and to the national and international programs in HEP, such as collider physics, cosmology, dark matter, gauge theories, lattice gauge theory, model-building, neutrinos, or particle-astrophysics. Applicants whose work spans more than one of these disciplines are especially encouraged to apply.
LANL has an active HEP program in both theory and experiment. LANL experimentalists in HEP are leaders in both short (MicroBoone, SBN) and long base-line neutrino experiments (DUNE), and the High Altitude Water Cherenkov (HAWC) experiment. LANL HEP theorists actively collaborate with LANL HEP experimentalists, as well as with LANL Nuclear Physics theorists and experimentalists (MAJORANA, Neutron EDM). Candidates whose research program overlaps with any of these experimental efforts are also encouraged to apply.
