|VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
The Computer Science Department at Oberlin College invites applications for a full-time non-continuing faculty position in the College of Arts and Sciences. Appointment to this position will be for a term of two semesters, beginning with the fall semester of 2015, and will carry the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor.
The successful candidate will teach a total of five courses (or course equivalents which includes labs) at all levels in the general area of undergraduate Computer Science. Among the qualifications required for appointment is the Ph.D. degree (in hand or expected by first semester of academic year 2015-16). Candidates must demonstrate interest and potential excellence in undergraduate teaching. Successful teaching experience at the college level is desirable.
The Computer Science department will have 7 faculty (including this position) with research interests spanning the areas of algorithmic game theory, computer graphics, distributed systems, modeling, security, and more. Our CS majors are enthusiastic and actively engaged in their education, and many of them go on to earn advanced degrees from leading CS graduate programs.
