|Assistant Professor in 19th Century Latin American Literary and Cultural Studies
The Department of Hispanic Languages and Literature at Stony Brook University invites applicants for a tenure track position in 19th Century Latin American Literary and Cultural Studies, beginning fall 2013. Interests in Brazilian culture and/or Trans-Atlantic and Inter-American approaches are welcome. Candidates should have Ph.D. in hand or ABD near completion, a strong research record, excellent teaching credentials and native or near native proficiency in Spanish. The person hired will be expected to teach at all levels, graduate and advanced undergraduate seminars, gateway courses toward the major and general education courses in English on Latin America.
