The Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University is seeking outstanding faculty candidates whose research will contribute to the development and advancement of engineering methods applied to health care. Successful candidates will be eligible for one of several endowed professorships, and they will be affiliated with the newly established Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare: http://malonecenter.jhu.edu. The Malone Center is one element of a substantial, multi-year investment by the Whiting School in engineering related to healthcare. This search is open to all faculty ranks and to candidates in all engineering disciplines including Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. Of particular interest are candidates with a focus on systems modeling and optimization, user-centered design, human-computer interaction, data science, machine learning, smart devices, and mobile health. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to translate their work to healthcare-related settings are especially desirable.
All applicants must hold a Ph.D. in an engineering or related field and will be expected to establish a strong, independent, multidisciplinary, and internationally recognized research program. Commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels is required.
